July 2nd Dividend Update

Hello all, and welcome back to another great month of dividend investing. In another round of huge moments for me, I made a new record high in dividends, $117.41. This is massive for me. The second month in a row that I achieved more than $100 in dividends. I am finally starting to reach these new highs, and am excited to keep going.

In June, Intel led the way with $21.11 in dividends. Past that, QYLD, HMC, DUK, D, AEP, and O followed with big help. A few of my positions seem to have paid a little early, so I am expecting a bit lower of a dividend in July, but I am hopeful.

QYLD is a newer investment, and this is definitely a bit riskier than a lot of dividend investors would like, but for now, the monthly returns are great, and helping me build my portfolio.

I have upped my investment in Kinder Morgan, Spartan Nash, Xcel Energy, and Walmart. This should help my future growth. But that is all for now.

Keep pushing forward!

June 2021 Dividend Update

Hi all, and welcome to another month of dividend reinvesting. So, in some massive news for me, for the first time ever, I have passed the $100 a month barrier. I have been trying to get to this point for years, and have finally reached it! I am beyond thrilled.

For May, my biggest mover was definitely Verizon (VZ), with a cool $39.69. Procter and Gambler and AT&T (PG, T) both also contributed, and led the way to my record breaking $109.76 in dividends in May. I am excited to keep this going forward, and will hopefully be trying to push my dividends even higher.

There are a few new positions in my portfolio in May, including the risky QYLD. I will be keeping an eye on this, as it is very volatile. I also added Kinder Morgan (KMI) to hopefully add just a little to my dividend outlook. I will say, my portfolio is a little riskier than I would like, but is still doing ok for now. I will be ecstatic when Ford and General Motors brings their dividend back.

I also have a small holding of Doge that I scooped up for $0.04 per coin. It makes me upset that a few years ago, I had grabbed some Doge for $0.002, but I did not hold onto it.

That is all for today. Keep pushing forward!

April/May 2021 Update

Morning everybody. Wow, it has been a long time since I have posted on this blog. I felt it was time that I returned to provide an update. After a long couple years, and some family health issues, time to update my financial journey. The good news in this is that I have not been slouching on my investments. So, let's get into it.

So, over the last year and a half, I have continued to put as much as I can into investing, and have hopefully taken a small step to potential real estate investing. I am doing good of reaching my goal of all stocks giving a minimum of $1 per month in dividends. But, my biggest goal (which was hurt by the cut dividends that happened in 2020) is I want to break that $100 a month in dividends mark. I feel 2021 will definitely be the year I accomplish this (HOORAY!!!!)

So, for April, my biggest provider was definitely Cisco ($31.69). In order to hopefully up my monthly dividends, I have tried to level out my investments to try to provide a similar amount of dividends each month. I have also paid off my car, and am sitting in a good place to continue my journey. I have updated my portfolio and dividends page. Please feel free to look. Until next time, keep pushing forward!
