Goals

So, I see a lot of other dividend blogs listing goals, and it probably is not a bad idea for me to do the same. So, here we go.

So, as with my primary page, it has been a while. I was looking at my 2019 list below, and am happy to say I think I managed two (2) of those goals. I never did manage that emergency fund.

Now here, in 2021, I am going to set forth another set of goals.

  • One thing I would like to do is bump my portfolio to $43,000 this year.
  • I would also like to manage $1100 dollars this year in dividends. As of now (May 2021), I am sitting at about $450. So, I will have to bump this if I want to manage this goal.
  • As part of the above goal, I would like to reach $100 dollars in a month in dividends. I think this is very doable. As a stretch goal, I would like my last 3 months to all be $100 a month in dividends. I am excited to see if I can pull this off.
  • I can happily say that in early 2021, I finally managed my emergency fund. This goal is going to be easy, and to maintain my emergency fund in 2021.

For 2019 I would like to see:

  • Dividend income of $600 in 2019. This is very lofty, but hopefully doable if I continue to build my portfolio. Speaking of....
  • Portfolio of $15,000. This goal, I think is very possible, and I will increase it if this turns out to be too easy.
  • Build an emergency fund of $2,000. It sounds crazy, but as much as I save (sort of), I have no emergency fund. In 2019, I would like to change that.
